HTC Hero: First Thoughts

On Sunday October 11, I went to Sprint and got an HTC Hero. Probably the best purchase I've ever made. So far I've had no problems with it. I don't like you have to take the back off to get to the microSD card, but you don't really need to take it out. I was surprised on how similar the apps are to the iPhone's. A lot are actually the same. it did not come with Android 1.6 Donut, but that should be coming out soon. The OS was so simple, right when the Sprint guy gave it to me, I knew where everything on it was. In my opinion, it is better than an iPhone because it has more capability than the iPhone. There's a lot the iPhone could do, but it doesn't do. Overall, the Hero is very slim, it feels sturdy in your hand, like it's not going to break. Web Browsing a little slow, but not too bad that makes you not want the phone. It maybe takes 1 second longer than the iPhone. This is just a first thoughts, so that's why it is so short.
